The PROM is a well established live music venue, bar & cafe on Bristol’s Gloucester Road.
We host a vibrant and eclectic mix of musicians covering all genres, old and new. Local, national and international bands are featured and entrance is free Monday to Friday. We aim to put on a good show, as well as creating a lovely friendly atmosphere. We don’t want to be like a chain bar. The Prom has always been an independent venue, which means we can put on whatever entertainment we like! Our main concern is that you have a brilliant night and feel truly welcome.
We play live music every night except Tuesday – which is the night of our new and improved pub quiz! Entry is only £1 per person, and there are a variety of prizes up for grabs for the best team. Just check out the online gig guide to see who is hosting the quizzes coming up.
During the day, The PROM serves a varied menu of quality food, as well as daily specials. We also have a brand new menu and two new head chefs who are truly passionate about what they do – and it shows in the lovely foos they offer! Check out the menu on the Food page.
We’re one of the few bars on the Gloucester road with a heated outdoor seating area – a great place to relax and watch the world go by and enjoy a lovely cool pint on a balmy afternoon. We have also recently reduced our prices on alcohol, as well as introducing not one, but Two Happy Hours (6-8pm Monday to Friday) where all lager/ale/cider on tap is just £2.70 a pint (excluding Heineken & Guinness – £3) and house spirit and mixers are just £2.50.
There’s also free wi-fi on offer, lovely Fairtrade hot drinks (soya milk & herbal teas also available) and of course a relaxing atmosphere and an excellent selection of tunes playing at all times!
