A group of musicians who met up north are now coming down to Bristol to provide you with some groovy beats and saxy melodies.

The Mike Hoddinott Blues Allstars consists of well-known session musicians from both the local and national blues circuit: Pete Gage, vocals and harmonica, has fronted the legendary Doctor Feelgood touring the UK and Europe and also had a successful career with his own band. Richie Blake, bass guitar, is a well-respected musician both with local and national acts. Paul Hartshorn, guitar, and Roger Sanson, Hammond organ, are also much in demand session musicians. The band will be performing classic and also more obscure blues tunes from Robben Ford to Albert King.

James has developed his unique voice through direct influences from funk, soul, jazz, gospel, latin and urban music. He has the abilty to communicate to an audience through his saxophone and directly project deep emotion across to the listener in a lyrical style.

The Blues Cowboys are a well established and highly reputable band from Bristol. They give a high energy set of Delta, Chicago and West Coast blues centred around the slide work of Rick Payne and the pyrotechnic soloing of Cleve Berarey. They are a band widely celebrated for delivering a passionate and lively set.

Often described as mix between Ry Cooder and Robert Cray the band have toured extensively and have played Many festivals both in the UK and abroad.

Twitch & Shout are a bristol- based band performing original and poetic songs, bringing together elements of punkrock, alt folk and strange lyrical imagery.
